Emma Cheshire is a photographer working in fashion and portraiture. Relying on her nuanced understanding of color and composition she creates engaging, surreal, and experimental work that is both nostalgic and current. Attentive to the needs of her clients, she approaches each shoot with enthusiasm and focus, holding space as needed to earn the trust of those in front of her lens which enables her to make any vision come to life.
Having a background in a range of artistic mediums, from analog and digital photography to sculpture and alternative processes, she takes pride in her creativity and ability to work outside the traditional confines of photography. Naturally inquisitive and raised with curiosity, her interdisciplinary practice and self expression led to the creation of her brand CHESH, an online store where customers can shop a curated selection of second-hand garments sourced from her personal travels. Beyond simply presenting garments, she enjoys pushing the boundaries of fashion with the construction and deconstruction of her many finds, leaning on photography to document her process.
